The company's story started when Kona became sick and addicted after eating jerky treats made in China. After his recovery—thanks to prompt medical treatment and plenty of loving care from his pet parents—his owners began searching the market for healthy jerky treats he could enjoy without worry, and that were made in the USA with trusted ingredients. But after looking almost everywhere, they decided to start experimenting by making their own treats at home, starting with 100% USDA inspected chicken. Today, the home recipe hasn’t changed much, and can be enjoyed by Kona and jerky-loving pooches everywhere. And pet parents can feel good about treating their pups to the tasty snacks, because there are no harmful fillers or any ingredients from China.
