Visionary Pet Foods is founded on the cornerstone of formulating pet foods of superior nutritional quality that mimic the diet a dog would eat in nature. Their meals are as much about what is not in them as what is in them, which is why their raw ketogenic recipes are carefully crafted without grains, added sugars or rendered ingredients.

The drive to establish Visionary Pet Foods was inspired by one of the founders’ experience with KetoPet Sanctuary, and a portion of Valiant’s proceeds are donated to this lifesaving group. KetoPet is a non-profit organization that has rescued dozens of shelter dogs with cancer from being euthanized. Each rescued dog is placed on a ketogenic diet as a form of cancer therapy; they also help other pet parents start the diet with their own dogs at home. Given the limited options available, the time required to prepare the foods, and the difficulty in properly implementing a ketogenic diet, the Valiant Pet team knew they could solve these problems, and help prolong more pets’ lives, by creating a convenient, easy-to-feed ketogenic dog food so people didn’t have to make their own.
