About Us
Friends of DeKalb County-AL Animal Adoption Center is made up of a small group of volunteers. Our mission is to improve visibility and increase awareness of the countless number of abandoned, homeless animals in DeKalb County, with the ultimate goal being to unite these deserving animals with the perfect family to call their own. We raise funds and awareness for our local county shelter, while fostering as many shelter pets as possible and partnering with out-of-state, no-kill rescues to help find as many homes as possible and reducing the number of shelter pets euthanized.
