About Us
At Hooves & Paws Rescue of the Heartland we rescue and rehabilitate abused, starved, neglected or unwanted horses, donkeys, mules, dogs and puppies. If possible, following rehabilitation, we place such animals in loving homes. If for any reason an animal can't be placed, the animal will live it's life out at our no-kill facility in a safe, loving environment. Since 2005 our gates have been open 24/7, 365 days a year to those who need a place to heal inside and out. Working with Law Enforcement on a regular basis we volunteer our services day and night to assist them as needed on animal abuse and neglect cases.
