About Us
Humane Society of Davie County's (HSDC) mission is to prevent cruelty and suffering among dogs and cats through rescue, adoption, and education. Our vision is to support Davie County Animal Services in maintaining a low euthanasia rate at the county shelter, keeping Davie County a no-kill county in 2020 and beyond. Saving lives of animals focuses on pet adoption, spay/neuter and trap-neuter-return programs, and other community support programs. The current benchmark for a no-kill shelter is a save rate of 90% or more.
