With a focus on education, community awareness, and preventing animal abuse and neglect, It's Raining Kittens also provides a unique resource to rescues. Every year thousands of motherless neonatal kittens are euthanized in shelters. Newborn kittens often need expensive medical equipment, like incubators, nebulizers, and oxygen machines, as well as experienced care. For the first several weeks they need round the clock care too and vet bills are often high. Shelters and rescues don't all have the knowledge, financial resources, space, or time to dedicate to neonatal kittens, when they could rescue countless older kittens, in the same space and amount of time.
