Our organization is a National Rescue/Rehoming organization for Irish Wolfhounds. Rescuing and Rehoming Wolfhounds can often be difficult due to their size. Wolfhounds don't fit in normal kennels so we typically have to arrange Foster homes to transport them directly to. The costs of medical care can be greater due to the size. We have to find special veterinarians that have the facilities to treat Wolfhounds i.e. tables large enough, kennels big enough, experience with Giant Breeds. Food costs are one of our biggest expenses. A full grown male can eat 25-40 lbs of kibble a week.
