About Us
Ozzie and Friends Rescue (OAFR) was founded in December 2016 by Nancy Jimeno out of love and passion for saving and rescuing dogs. Her passion stemmed from the tragic loss of her dog, Don Juan, due to prostate cancer. Yearly OAFR places an average of 300-400 dogs from all backgrounds with loving families. OAFR has gained exposure through Buzzfeed, social media and word of mouth. We’ve rescued dogs from Mexico and California and do not shy away from dogs that are feral, at risk, in danger of dying, neglect, and owner surrenders ranging from newborns to seniors.
