I have a 7 months, 83lb Akita should I feed him this one or should I look for the adult one?

Answer by ChefFeb 11, 2023
The Akita is still a puppy at that age. The puppy food has nutrients, vitamins, etc. It needs for brain and health development at that age. Most large breeds aren't considered fully grown until 18 to 24 months. If in doubt, always consult your Veterinarian.

Is this made in the USA?

Answer by ChewyMay 17, 2020
This food is made in the United States.

What does this company consider a puppy age range to be? Trying to decide if I need puppy or adult dog food as my rescue is about 8/9 months old.

Answer by ChewySep 13, 2019
A puppy is generally considered an adult when they stop growing taller. Typically for small breeds this is between 9-12 months, medium breeds around 12 months and large breeds closer to 15 months. We always encourage reaching out to your vet for the best results for your little one.
